Tristel Duo for Ophthalmology
Tristel Duo for Ophthalmology and Optometry is chlorine dioxide in a foam, designed specifically for the cleaning and high-level disinfection of ophthalmic ultrasound probes; it offers speed, safety, efficacy and excellent material compatibility.
2 x 125ml tubes combine to dispense 250ml of active product.
Through its powerful oxidising action, it destroys all types of microorganisms and eliminates the possibility of cross-contamination between patients. Inferior disinfectants such as alcohol and QAC-based solutions are incapable of destroying harmful organisms. Tristel Duo is the best method for the high-level disinfection of ophthalmic ultrasound probes.
Tristel Duo is sporicidal, mycobactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and bactericidal in 30 seconds. Chlorine dioxide has been tested in accredited laboratories worldwide and is proven effective against microorganisms of concern in ophthalmology such as:
SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)
Acanthamoeba castellanii (one of the causative organisms of Acanthamoeba keratitis)
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRE)
Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE)
Candida albicans
Aspergillus brasiliensis
Adenovirus (responsible for adenoviral epidemic keratoconjunctivitis)

RECOMMENDED USE:
Tristel Duo for Ophthalmology is designed specifically for the high-level disinfection of ophthalmic ultrasound probes. Other uses include the high-level disinfection of non-invasive medical devices such as diagnostic and laser contact lenses, tonometer prisms and pachymeters.

STANDARDS AND DIRECTIVES:
This product has been independently tested and meets the requirements set out by European Norms including EN 14885. Sporicidal efficacy according to EN 17126:2018 is also demonstrated.
